Learn more about the ESD Evergreen's Continuous Learning Resources

Learn more about Evergreen School District's Distance Learning Plan officially beginning April 20, 2020.

Dear Families,

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding while we navigate school closures due to COVID-19 and continue to shift our practice towards distance learning. While we hope that you have found our Continuous Learning materials to be helpful, we also recognize that these materials are a temporary support. Our District will now shift to distance learning.

Distance learning is instruction in which the student and teacher are in different locations. Distance learning involves interaction between student and teacher in a virtual environment. Teachers are in the process of receiving professional development for distance learning. As such we will encourage families to continue to utilize Evergreen's Continuous Learning Resources which can be found at While some teachers will soon be facilitating virtual meetings and posting specific classroom activities, we expect all students to be involved in formalized distance learning when we return from Spring Break on April 20, 2020. A brief overview of Evergreen's distance learning plan with resources can be found at

Our shifts to distance learning will become most visible to you the week prior to spring break when we begin setting up our online classroom platforms. Invitations to join the online community will be sent out via email. While additional details will follow, we ask that you begin to prepare at home:

  • Please establish a quiet place where your child can hear your teacher and background noise will not interfere with learning.
  • Evergreen School District will offer a Technology Check-Out Program. Like a public library, families may check out a limited number of devices for use at home during school closure. These are web based devices that will require access to the internet. Please take time to familiarize yourself with our Technology Loan Agreement:
  • Reliable internet will be needed. You may qualify for affordable, Home Internet if you are participating in one of the following programs: Child Enrolled in the NSLP (National School Lunch Program) CalFresh (food stamps) or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Medi-Cal Or Have a Household Income Under $40,000/year. Thank you for your continued support.
