Avleen Gill is Punjabi and today she will be showcasing a traditional Punjabi breakfast - Aloo Parontha (Potato stuffed fried bread) with a cold glass of Lassi (yogurt drink).
Punjab is state in Northern India. An aloo (potato) parontha (fried bread) is a popular Punjabi breakfast. Since farming is huge in Punjab, aloo paronthas give farmers the energy they need for a long days work. Aloo paronthas, served alongside a tall refreshing glass of lassi (yogurt drink) or dhai (yogurt), make for the most perfect, hearty Punjabi breakfast.
