We understand parenting in these times can be challenging. If you are looking for a place where you can receive parenting support in a protected, safe, nurturing space, please join us at our monthly Parent Support Circle. Our next meeting is Wednesday, December 13 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. via Zoom. You can find the Zoom link and future meeting dates available in this story.
Here are our breakfast and lunch menus for the month of December.

We hosted our 3rd Annual Stuff the Bus Event on Wednesday, November 15, thank you to our wonderful families that donated! We are currently still accepting toy donations until Friday, December 8th. Drop-off location is at the district offices, located at 3188 Quimby Road, San Jose CA. Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Please note, items not accepted, no plush, used, non-packaged toys or clothing donations.

The annual ESD Food Drive, in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank takes place from December 1- 22. To participate in this meaningful cause, donation links for your specific school can be found in this story. Let's come together and make a difference in our community by supporting those in need during this holiday season. Your early participation is greatly appreciated!
For the 2023-24 school year, breakfast and lunch will be available at no cost to all students, regardless of income. Learn more about our School Meal Program.

ESD Wellness Spotlight
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (2022), washing one’s hands is the cheapest, quickest, and most efficient way to reduce exposure to bacteria and promote an environment that is more conscious of healthy choices.
Attendance Matters
How many absences are too many? Chronic absence is defined as 18 days a year—or just 2 days a month. Call your student's school office if you have questions about your student's attendance.
Coffee with the Principal
JFS parents and caregivers meet in the morning with the principal each month to discuss current events, school activities, and concerns. Check the calendar for our next event.
